Marketplace

The Marketplace lists apps, integrations and templates built to work with your UnitX data. Anyone can browse it. Installing an app grants it access to your organization, so it always goes through an administrator, who sees exactly what the app will be able to reach before approving it.

Who can use it#

Browse and search#

Open Marketplace in the sidebar. Narrow the list with:

• Search — free text.
• Category — Accounting, CRM, HR, Recruiting, Marketing, Sales, Customer support, Analytics, Productivity, AI, Communication, Security, Developer tools or Industry specific.
• Price — Free, One-time, Subscription, Usage-based, Per seat, Freemium or Enterprise.
• Sort by — Most installed, Highest rated, Newest or Name.

Each card shows the app’s publisher, category, rating, number of installs and price. Only published listings appear.

Reading a listing#

Select a card to open the listing. It shows:

• The publisher, with Verified publisher if UnitX has verified them.
• The description, category, price and rating.
• What it asks for — every permission the current version declares, in plain words with the permission key beside it.
• Reviews from other organizations.

If you cannot install apps, the listing says An administrator installs apps for your organization instead of showing an Install button.

Install an app#

1. Choose Install

   On the listing. The consent dialog Install <app name> opens, showing the publisher and version.

2. Read what it will be able to do

   What this app will be able to do lists every permission the app declared. That list is the whole of what it can reach; anything not on it is refused, whatever the app asks for later.

3. Choose what happens on a new version

   Under When a new version is published: Update automatically, Ask me first (the default) or Stay on this version.

4. Choose Approve and install

   You approve exactly what is listed. The listing then shows Installed.

New versions and permissions#

What you approved is stored as a fixed ceiling. A newer version that needs the same permissions follows your update setting. A newer version that needs more permissions always has to be approved again by an administrator, whichever setting you chose — an app can never quietly gain access.

Manage installed apps#

Choose Installed apps at the top right of the Marketplace. Each app shows its category, installed version, install date and the permissions it was granted.

• New versions: changes the update setting for that app.
• Remove uninstalls it (see below).

Remove an app#

1. Choose Remove

   On MarketplaceInstalled apps.

2. Confirm

   Remove <app name>? explains that its access ends immediately. Choose Remove app.

3. Check what stopped

   The confirmation says how many access tokens were revoked, webhooks disabled and scheduled jobs stopped, so you can see the access really ended.

• Records the app created stay in your organization. Removing it stops the app reaching them; it does not delete them.
• Your organization’s own webhooks and connections are untouched — only the app’s are switched off.
• Installing it again later is a fresh consent; the app starts with no access until you approve it.

Reviews#

Under Leave a review on a listing, choose a Rating from 1 to 5, optionally write what it was like to use, and choose Post review. If your organization has the app installed, the review is marked Verified install and goes live straight away; otherwise a moderator looks at it first. You cannot review a listing published by your own organization.

How apps are reviewed#

Every version of every app passes automated checks, a security review and a marketplace review before it can be published. None of the three can be skipped. See Publishing apps.

Verified publisher

The publisher’s identity has been reviewed by UnitX.

Verified install

The reviewer’s organization has the app installed.

Installed

Your organization has this app installed.
